More blends coming.
Type of article: Article
Summary
A French refrigerants manufacturer is testing a blend of R32, R125 and R143a as an eventual substitute for R502 with zero ozone depletion. For present substitution they are marketing three blends which contain R22. Further facilities in the USA, France and Spain are producing R134a, R141b and R142b. The article also reports that a programme has begun to convert 10,000 marine refrigerated containers from R12 to R134a, and four centrifugal chillers at Warwick, UK, have been converted from R500 to R134a.
