Summary
Chilled and vacuum-packed beef has a 12 week storage life at 0 deg C. Transport time from the slaughter house in Australia to wholesalers in Europe lasts generally longer than 8 weeks. To keep an acceptable quality of meat, it is advisable to maintain the temperature around 0 deg C. Various tests are made with this purpose in view.
