Summary
Sairem has developed a high-frequency (50 ohms) tunnel for thawing blocks of fish (-20 to -2 deg C) within two to three minutes. This tunnel can handle 1200 kilograms/hour with no solid-loss as there is no contact with the product. A homogenous temperature is achieved and compliance with cold chain requirements is ensured.
