Author(s) : KOLEV D. P.

Summary

APPLES FROM THE VARIETY RED DELICIOUS AND ITS MUTANT STARKRIMSON WERE TREATED WITH CHEMICALS AGAINST SCALD AND ROTTING. THE AUTHOR HAS USED A COMBINED SPRAYING-DIPPING METHOD. A BETTER RESULT WAS CARRIED OUT BY THE DIPPING METHOD. THE TREATMENT WITH FUNDAZOL AND STOPSKALD DECREASES THE SCALDING 34.38% AND WITH METHYLTOPSIN AND STOPSKALD 49.74% IN COMPARISON TO THE UNTREATED STORED FRUITS.
