Summary

THE TEST WAS CARRIED OUT AT 265, 261, 257, 253 AND 208 K (-8, -12, -16, -20 AND -65 DEG C). THE RESULTS ARE AS FOLLOWS: THE LIMITS OF HIGH LEVEL QUALITY (H LQ) TIMES INCREASE, FOR ODOUR, TO 23% OF VOLATILE ORGANIC EMISSION, AND FOR COLOUR, TO 20% OF ORIGINAL CHLOROPHYLLS ; AT 253 K, HLQ IS 16 DAYS FOR ODOUR AND 3 YEARS FOR COLOUR ; OFF-COLOUR AND THE DECREASE IN VOLATILE ORGANIC EMISSION VARY EXPONENTIALLY WITH TEMPERATURE ; THE SUSCEPTIBILITY OF COLOUR TO TEMPERATURE VARIATIONS (Q10 = 26) IS MARKEDLY GREATER THAN THAT OF AROMAS (Q10 = 3,3). WHEN OFF-COLOUR BEGINS BEING PERCEPTIBLE, THE PRODUCT HAS ALREADY LOST MOST OF ITS AROMATIC PROPERTIES.
