This book contains the 43 papers (mostly in Italian, some are availaible in English) of the 5th European seminar, held in Milano, Italy, on June 16-17, 1995, organized with the participation of the IIR. It includes 3 sessions: new refrigerants (results and perspectives); new components (experimental results in refrigeration and air conditioning; new technology development and perspectives in refrigeration and air conditioning in Europe and in the world); refrigeration in the food industry (the evolution in food system designs concerning products; the cold chain: new technology, new refrigerants). Most of the papers will be abstracted in the IIR Bulletin.
