Type of article: Periodical article

Summary

Two varieties of potatoes were stored at 5 to 10 deg C in darkness for 40 weeks. The change over time in CO2 ambiental rate was studied; an initial decline was observed, followed by an increase at the end of the dormancy period and at the beginning of sprouting. The changes in reducing sugars and respiration were also examined.
