Transport properties of some alternative refrigerants.

Summary

The paper presents a brief description of experimental techniques and equipment used for accurate measurement of thermal conductivities and viscosities of new fluorocarbon refrigerants over a range of temperatures and pressures. New experimental results are presented for selected refrigerants. Correlations were also developed that allow one to calculate transport properties or to estimate them with minimal experimental information. Measurements were done using a modified hot-wire and capillary-tube method.
