Summary

The objective of this study conducted in the framework of the European project IQ-Freshlabel, is to evaluate the perception of time-temperature indicators by the different actors of the cold chain. These indicators simulate the evolution of refrigerated food products during their shelf life depending on the true conditions of temperature which products bear. To reach this aim, interviews were conducted with manufacturers, retailers and consumers in four European countries including France, in order to know their expectations, their reluctance and their needs to use these tools.
