The objective of this report is to assist South Africa and UNIDO to better understand the historical and predicted consumption trends for ODS-alternatives, including medium, low and high global warming potential (GWP) alternatives, and their distribution by sector and subsector. The survey provides South Africa with an overview of the current national market for HFCs and an analysis of the recent consumption trends in relation to HCFC phase out and likely future trends taking account of embedded and emerging technologies in South Africa.
