Type of article: Article
Summary
Irradiation (2.5 and 5 kilograys) reduced spoilage after 7 weeks of storage at 3-5 deg C from 60 to 20%. Packaging inhibited spoilage, by 20% (from 50 to 30%), and weight losses nearly completly (from 3-5 to 0.2-0.3%). Combined treatment (2.5 kilograys and packaging) resulted in the best results: spoilage was in average 10%.
