ESTIMATION OF REFRIGERANT MIXTURE PROPERTIES USING AN EQUATION OF STATE.

Author(s) : FUKUSHIMA M., OTOTAKE N.

Summary

THE AUTHORS STUDIED A METHOD FOR ESTIMATING THE VALUES CHARACTERIZING THE THERMAL PROPERTIES OF BINARY HALOGEN MIXTURES IN ORDER TO SEARCH FOR AN OPTIMUM REFRIGERANT USED FOR THE FREEZING AND HEAT PUMP CYCLES. THEY CHOSE THE PATEL-TEJA EQUATION OF STATE, A VARIANT OF VAN DER WAALS EQUATION OF STATE. THE INTERACTION COEFFICIENT WAS DEFINED FROM DATA OF OTHER RESEARCH WORKERS ON LIQUID-GAS EQUILIBRIA.
