Recent advantages in the technology of rigid polyurethane foams.
Author(s) : AJIRO T.
Summary
The paper highlights the different tests carried out for the purpose of replacing R11 by suitable substitutes, in the manufacture of rigid polyurethane foams. Different fluids were tested pure or in mixture, including: R141b, R123, R22, R142b, R124, R134a, R152a, R125, R356, and water. Tables show the results obtained for insulation properties, conductivity, density, chemical strength, flammability, etc. Interesting results are obtained with water.
