THE FASTEST GROWTH WAS IN PREPARED FOODS SUCH AS CREPES, PIZZA AND READY MEALS FROM FISH FOLLOWED BY FRENCH FRIES. ABOUT 50 KG PER CAPITA OF HOME FROZEN PRODUCE INCLUDING VEGETABLES, BERRIES AND GAME ARE CONSUMED ANNUALLY. FUTURE TRENDS INCLUDE MEALS FOR INDIVIDUAL FAMILY MEMBERS COMBINED WITH MICROWAVE OVENS, BAR CODES IN RETAIL AND WHOLESALE OUTLETS, HOME COMPUTERS FOR ORDERING AND A WIDER AVAILABILITY OF EXOTIC FOODS.
