Refrigerant reference book.
Type of article: Periodical article
Summary
This booklet gives a comprehensive list of substitute refrigerants with the composition of mixtures, the glide range for zeotropes, their ozone depletion and greenhouse warming potential, boiling points and suitable oils. Discussion continues on R134a and mixtures based on R22 as retrofit substitutes for R12 and R502. R290 (propane) is mentioned together with its limitations, also R23 as a substitute for R13 or R13B1. Suitable lubricants are tabulated for use with many mixtures, and operating temperature ranges are suggested for various mixtures and pure compounds when used as substitutes. D.W.H.
