Type of monograph: Report
Summary
This volume of the 2010 TEAP (Technology and Economic Assessment Panel) report contains: 1) the report of the Decision XXI/9 Task Force on the assessment of HCFCs and environmentally sound alternatives; and 2) the final report of the Decision XIX/8 Task Force dealing with the "scoping study on HCFC alternatives under high ambient temperature conditions. Extract from the table of contents: domestic refrigeration (refrigerant and new equipment options); low-GWP alternatives for commercial refrigeration (stand-alone equipment; condensing unit systems; supermarket systems); industrial refrigeration (use of HFCs and HCFCs; current of future use of low-GWP substances: ammonia, CO2, hydrocarbons; markets); transport refrigeration; unitary air conditioning (current situation: primary HCFC-22 replacements; developed and developing countries status; potential low-GWP options: HFC-32, HFC-1234yf and blends with other HFCs; hydrocarbon refrigerants; CO2; product energy efficiency improvement technologies); chiller air conditioning (use of HCFCs; current or future use of low-GWP substances: ammonia, hydrocarbons, CO2, water vapour, HFC-1234yf; markets); vehicle air conditioning (options for future mobile air conditioning systems: bus and rail air conditioning; passenger car and light truck air conditioning; improved HFC-134a, CO2, HFC-152a and HFC-1234yf system; blend alternatives); foams (alternative technologies; polyurethane foams; established HCFC alternatives); fire protection and solvents.
